Desmond Hotel Malvern Wedding / Kelly & Royce

Kelly & Royce’s late summer wedding at the Desmond Hotel in Malvern was a looong time in the making.  It had to be postponed three times. And not just because of Covid. Getting to this day felt like a huge accomplishment for all of us. But no more than for Kelly & Royce!  I have to say, with all the scheduling, re-scheduling and surprises, Kelly kept her grace and sense of humor The Whole Time.  I was really impressed.  And with all that waiting, they were even blessed with a baby girl in the meantime! How amazing is that?

I’ve always loved working at the Desmond Hotel.  Desmond hotel weddings are well-managed and just have a sense of ease.  Especially compared to similar venues that have multiple weddings in a day.  On this day, it was nice to have the place to ourselves.  The forecast featured showers most of the day, but we got super lucky and took swift advantage of some breaks in the weather.  We were able to pop around the property and get some beautiful shots among the trees and the green.  The air was fresh and clean, the light was gentle and diffuse (rainy-day weddings have a charm all their own).  I just love the softness of the pics we took outside.
