This was my first wedding at Anthony Wayne House is Paoli PA and I absolutely loved it. There were beautiful, mature trees which gave us a lot of open shade to work with, along with tons of texture and history. Laura and Edwin decided on the ‘groom sees bride from a distance’ first look option, in which the groom has his back turned while we place the bride, in pretty light, about 30 feet away. Then we have the groom turn around and he sees his beautiful bride for the first time. She then walks to him, almost as if she is walking down ‘the isle’. It is quite dramatic and probably one of my favorite ways to do a first look.
Their ceremony, officiated by their lovely friend, Kate, was short and sweet and included a few Jewish elements like a ketubah signing and glass breaking. Slightly fancy ‘backyard vibe’ describes the whole feel of the late spring affair. To honor the groom’s Dutch heritage, parents of the bride surprised the bride & groom with a bicycle, all decked out in flowers.
This was such a fun wedding. Laura and Edwin (a historian and mathematician respectively) were so adorable together and they definitely had a ‘greater-than-the-sum’ kind of magic to them.
Special thanks to all the wonderful vendors and also to my awesome team that day, Aidan and Inna.
