A week ago today, Laurie and I shot a beautiful late-summer wedding at one of my favorite small venues, Washington’s Crossing Inn. There’s something just so quaint about this place and the location, right in the old town with its well-maintained assortment of colorful old masonry buildings and stunning view’s of the Delaware river… it simply can’t be beat. For a photographer, it’s like being a kid in a candy store of backdrops.
‘Fun, easy and happy’ were some of the words Sara & Zach used to describe the whole vibe they were going for for their day. I knew when speaking to them at their final meetings that their family and wedding party were definitely going to help deliver in the ‘fun / easy / happy’ department. What a great crowd indeed!
My favorite part of the day was the moment Sara and Zach exchanged their private vows, just the two of them, on the font porch of one of the old houses on the main street – right after their first look. There were smiles, laughs and tears – and a wobbly voice here and there ❤️
