colleen + mark / downtown

I have to hand it to these two: not only are they fun, adorable and very much in love, but Colleen and Mark managed to totally impress me with their choice of locations for our center city engagement shoot.  We met at the Dream Garden which is where Mark proposed to Colleen.  Just the name of it – dream garden – sounds interesting but you really must see it in person to appreciate the beauty of this hidden gem.

We then hit up the Athenaeum, since Colleen and Mark share a love of literature.  People, if you are like me and have never even heard of this place, do yourself a favor and just go.  It’s free admission to simply stroll around, admire the beautiful architecture, antiques and peaceful setting.  Plus it has that magical smell of books, old wood and fresh varnish.

Our journey ended with a visit to La Colombe for a cup of coffee after which we said our farewells.
