happy birthday vivian

One year ago today this little one came into the world.  I’ll never forget driving Laurie to the hospital in twelve feet of snow, 11:30 at night, heart pounding, Laurie trying to manage her contractions next to me in the passenger seat.

I’ve never witnessed a birth before.  It was truly the most awe-inspiring moment of my entire life and I feel so incredibly blessed to have been there with my best friend and her husband on that day, getting to be one of the first to meet this beautiful little person.
